Stealthy boost gauge

Cut away the rear flange with the holes and the honeycomb from the vent itself, wrap a little electrical tape around the gauge body to widen it slightly, slide it into the back of the vent, drill a hole in the outer cup for the vac line and wires and stick it all together.

Totally stealth with the vent closed, rotated so I can best see the range from 10 psi to 16 psi from the driver's position.

Waddya really use the gauge for anyway? Just making sure the motor's making max boost, right? As long as you can see the top few PSI, that's all that matters, right? muwahahah(spin)

i have the aeroforce scan gauge in my rpm vent pod and it matches the center stereo display (black numbers w/ red field). looks stock.

Not trying to be an ass at all...that said... I think it's retarded for the guage to be obstructed... What's the point of a guage if you can't see it?

Pretty good for not trying...you must be a natural! (yippy)

You can see the boost gauge reasonably well through the vents, at least the critical 10 psi and up range we're all interested in. It's tough to take a picture of it from the driver's POV. You'll have to believe me when I say I can see it easily enough.

No way man, Luke'd switch off his targetting computer and know the boost level by the force....I'm more machine than man, now, twisted and evil....(silly)

My camera isn't too sophisticated with difficult shots like this but, this'll give you the idea, I hope. The numbers are clearly visible to the eye, if not the camera and the red light matches the dash perfectly. I'll try a night shot later today.
