I have a question (anyone feel free to answer). How easy is it to retain the 'accessory' feature on the ignition switch with this kit? Are instructions included for that second relay switch? (once in a while, I listen to the radio while I'm cleaning out the inside)
Here's the situation on retaining the accessory position. That isn't possible to do with a single relay because you'll A) hotwire your car for anybody to come along and steal and B) leave your accessories on non-stop and have to disconnect the battery or install a kill switch. Now it is possible to keep that with a 2nd relay. In that mode the first relay will not power anything by default and only power the ignition coil when the button is pushed. The 2nd relay will power the accessory by default (what the single relay setup does) and then cut power to those off when the button is pushed. It isn't really the most complicated setup ever but it WILL require you to cut and strip the accessory wire in your harness. And require a little more feel for how things work.
There's simply no way to make that option plug and play but if people would like a second relay with their kit and some extra wiring and connectors I'll be happy to add those to the kit. Probably another 10 bucks or so. I'll give some rudimentary instructions on how to do it too, but it is definitely more hands on and risky.
