Not sure I can get the Sunroof/Bose due to the head room. Is the standard audio system any good? I do like to listen to music and hear some bass & highs but, I'm not an audiophile.

I am not a true audiophile either and also like extra headroom so I passed on the bose/moonroof. For my purposes, the standard equipment has been just fine. I listen to everything from opera to hip hop and find I can enjoy it all.

Also, if you get the standard raido and hate it, you can always replace it with something better, for no doubt less than the bose/moonroof package would cost. (I'll leave it to the true audiophiles to suggest options along those llines. I haven't felt the need.)

They're pretty crummy sounding, its 4 speakers with paper cones and foam surrounds, I HAD to change out those horrid things, I replaced them all around and added 6 tweeters and 2 12" subs, the car thumps now (breakn). But I am pretty picky with my sound, so they might be just fine for you. as for bass and highs, you wont hear the highs very well and the lows start to get muddy when turned up.

Now that you've upgraded your sound system, was wondering if you've had a chance to compare your new system with the sound system in the GT w/tech package (9 speaker bose). If so, what are your thoughts? I have the GT w/tech and find it awesome. But I'm no expert, so what I have, sounds wonderful!

I have not listened to the Bose system in the CX-7 in a while. When I take my car in for the 7500K I will be sure to listen to the Bose system and give you my thoughts.

Kewl! :D

I replaced them with infinity Kappas all around and pioneer/kicker/kappa tweeters. Six tweeters all together. Four in the rear two in the front. And 2 12 inch sub woofers, with 400 watts powering them. I got kappas to replace the door speakers because they run at 2ohm.

Awesome selection. So, our stock door speakers are 2ohm? How have you mounted the tweeters in the panels, and what kind of amp have you used. Any idea how much the head unit will power without an amp?

Exellent choice in replacment speakers, very reputable. I'm sure they'll sound crisper when you power them up properly.

Good vibrations to u........
