Hey everyone I got my SSAFC and right now im using the Supermap. I was wondering if anyone would point me / tell me how to learn how to tune my car what A/F Ratios I should be looking for at different RPM's and all that jazz. Ive searched the forums and found nothing but people asking where to bring it to get tuned but no luck on learning how to do it myself. Any help would be great thanks.

All I can tell you is that you want to shoot for a 11.5:1 AFR at wide open throttle for best safety vs power.

So what is the guestimated price of having the msp tuned w/ a ssafc and do you even need a wideband if you are going to shop to have it tuned? Where are there places that tune these around DC MD VA?

depending on the shop...
price will always vary...
the shop should have a wb they can hook up to the tail pipe...
i would think it could cost anywhere from $300 min to $500+ to tune

Most shop charge by the hour when comes to dyno tuning. The shop I go to charges $225 per hour if I remember right.

Don't mess around with it pain in the arse; I have a wideband and it still is.

the hell? tuning the ssafc is easy as s***
dont take it somewhere and get ***** on prices when u can tune it just as good yourself

all you do, hook up your laptop to the ssafc, hit record, then go do a run, come back, look at the run and lean/rich were u need to
it takes a while to get a decent tune, and you need to have your wideband hooked up to the ssafc via an orange output wire

crazy chart

I have my wideband connected to my SSAFC and I did a run and the chart of all the Aux are all over the place the wideband included any ideas?(freak)

What do you have connected to your four inputs on the ssafc? Did you use the SSAFC calculator to calibrate it to your wideband? You need to know the min/max output voltages of your wideband and the min/max readings at those voltages.

I don't remember the threads I got this info from but I wrote down the averages of the AFR's at three different spots.
14.7 at idle, 13.8 at cruising speeds ( not into boost ) and 12.2 at WOT. These are not set #'s but a good reference point.

Take your time with tuning, and don't change any one cell by more than .1 at a time. Take your time, things will go OK. Call Split Second, and ask them any questions you have regarding how to hook up auxiliary instruments. No sense in guessing, when you can get real, correct answers.
