Hello,
I would appreciate if someone can give me advise.
I noticed that one end of my rear bumper stainless steel guard slightly detached from bumper surface. I guess the adhesive/bonding compound, that was originally used for sticking guard on, was drying out, or might be something else happened. Can you please advise me how can I fix it myself? What adhesives would your recommend?

Thank you very much in advance for your thoughts and advise!

Photo of the issue, so we can see how far gone it is would help.

In general though I've been happy with 3M adhesives. If you're trying to get it to stick back on without taking the whole thing off, 3M 08061 Emblem Adhesive is a good choice. If you take the whole thing off, 3M 03614 Moulding tape is as good as OEM.

Thanks voldsom for your response! Yes, a picture is worth a thousand words. I'll take some photos once I get back home tonight and I'll post them here. I would prefer not to take the whole thing off.

Easy fix.
1. take it bumper guard off. Carefully and slowly - do not bend the bumper guard.
2. remove the sticky glue residue with "Goo Gone" or else, on the guard and bumper.
3. apply new 3M double-side tapes around the edges of bumper guard.
4. put it back aligned and press hard.

I agree with ceric above. It may seem excessive to take the whole thing off, but new adhesive will make sure it sits nicely for the future.

Understood. Thank you all for your advice. I deeply appreciate your responses!
