You gotta be the better driver in the Mazda then and not rely on just power to help you through
 
I look at this way,
Mazdaspeed looks and handles awesome from factory so no need to spend money in those 2 departments. MSP needs help under the hood.

The SRT does not need any help under the hood, but needs the help in looks and handling.

In other words, both cars need a lil help, just pick where you want to spend your money.

Next time I'll buy a Porsche or Ferrari so I don't need to spend any money on mods making the car better! hahaha

I couldn't have said it any better.
 
SRT 4 is the king of econo cars in my opinion. Its few shortfalls are wiped away by its performance capabilities. It cost less than an MSP to boot.

My preference is the MSP. But I can appreciate the SRT4, its a stout car. They could have done better with the wheels. Everything else is well done. Top speed, 1/4 mile, power delivery are all nice for around $19K MSRP.
 
The only real complaint about the SRT-4 is the sides of the seats made my legs crush my balls. Other than that, sweet car.

the steering in the SRT-4 is like that of a HUGE boat...I would love to see 800 dollars fix that

The $800 will include $210 for eibach prokit, then $300 for the energy suspension bushing kit, then $389 for a bigger sway bars. I can tell you I owned a MSP I know how it felt. My car feels like my MSP use to. I love the car now. Whats wrong guys, the little gay neon catching up to your almighty MSPs for only $899.
 
I was obsessed with SRT-4's for about a month and almost bought one..the novelty of a car that gets bad gas mileage, can't handle, looks like a matchbox car, but drives fast in a straight line gets old really fast.

Same thing I thought about LS1's. I dunno, going fast in turns is fun and all, but sometimes I want to just run through some gears and fly down the highway at 130mph.
 
I really wouldn't know what to tell you. My MSP handled so damn well, but I didn't like the wheel gap, so I threw some Tein S techs on the car. It felt weird, like it handled worse. I really would put 800 into the MSP suspension, I would buy a FMIC.
 
i almost bought an srt-4 as well. then i realized it needed alot of help to fullfill my needs. think of it like a hot ass girl, yeah shes hot, the sex is great, but shes as dumb as a log.

now think of my mazda in the same way, shes not as hot, but not ugly, shes got an awesome ass to make up for the lack of D's, but shes got some nice perky B's, shes smart, knows what she wants with her life, has direction, makes me dinner. <-- key.

wtf srt-4's are fast, in a line.... but then you gotta spend 1-3k for a suspension system to even come semi-close to the msp's handling. msp's fuggin own, id die for one.

I agree, I hate the 4.6 mustang. I have a 5.0 with 350whp and I eat these cars for lunch.

LOL you didn't like the wheel gap on an MSP so you went with an SRT-4?

Yeah yeah I know you fixed it...but DAMN I could sleep in the wheel well.
 
u know what they should have done..dodge should have put all those horses in the old avenger...then it would look so sweet AND have a turboed 4banger...i would definately by that..until then its still a neon...

There is more to the story there my good man. Let me explain. After my MSP was stolen I went in search for another. At this time the 3 was coming out so people were short handed. I was going to get a titanium or not going to get one at all. After searching for weeks and coming up with nothing I got the SRT4. I loved the MSP, so much that I was willing to get another one, but couldn't find anything. I had 24 miles on my SRT and drove it to my house to get its first mod, lowering springs.
