i dunno were you got that at.

it would prolly spank the old impreze but not the new awd wrx.

The SRT/4 is capable of a 14.2 second 1/4 that means by your math the WRX can do a 12.7 stock. ARE YOU INSANE?

no im guessing tho, ive never seen a wrx run a srt 4 or a srt 4 run a msp, but i was at a 1/8 mile saw a wrx run a 7 flat, saw a srt4 run a 9.2 and i ran a 10.79 (seocnd time ever running at a track) thats beside the point. look for yourself, i seriously doubt top end on 1/4 mile that the srt 4 woudl take a wrx.

the WRX can launch harder because of awd
the guy in the srt has to go easy, those things spin tires VERY easy, thats probably why he had a low time
think about it, a 1/4 mile is twice as long, once the guy in the srt-4 gets into second he can romp on the gas as hard as he likes
besides the factory hp rating for the srt-4 is wrong, sport compact car dynoed it at like 20 more hp

so if your wrx accelerated at a constant rate (no car does) in the 1/4 he would get a 14 second, the SRT-4 can run a 14.2
it is very possible

i dont have any real mods and my car is basically stock yep, so was the srt 4 i saw running and he had been running every weekend for a month i ran my second run ever and he only beat me well do the math here

hrm, okay lemme run a few times i think i could nock that .59 off. that still only a second i really dont consider that a huge loss. yes losing is losing but with a few engine mods for a matter of fact didn't rx-kevin say he ran a 9.4 well hrm .2 tenths of a second of the srt 4 time, and all he has is a bov mbc (10psi) and ground kit maybe some other stuff i dont know about. but still he's right up there with it.

so no i dont consider it that much.

thats were all this confusion started
in the 1/4 you can keep a I4 in its power band longer than the 1/8th
thats why you are seeing similar numbers on fwd cars, both are getting into their powerband after launching, plus you have to wait for the turbo to spool, I would bet that it was mostly low end torque that helped the SRT-4 win over the Msp

that guy in the WRX though can launch at redline and not care much about tire spin, thats why he did so well
