Do the stock struts suffer anything negative because of aftermarket springs?

I wanted to know the pros and cons before I purchase a set of springs.

the quick version- yes they do in the long run. It really depends on how much you want to spend. but if you buy spring they will premature the lifespan of the struts. But ive seen people run there stocks for 20k miles. Personally I have the pro-kit on mine and im just going to wait till for awhile and buy coils.

some users on another forum have complained of poor ride quality when using some aftermarket springs with the stock struts. one of those people, however, recommended Road Magnet springs because they worked very well for his car with the stock struts. I've heard that Racing Beat springs work well also.

I will vouch for a bad ride on stock struts. But its worth the ride to look so damned good!
