I am getting Eibach prolines. I just want to know how much people are getting charged for the install. Or How much should people charge. Can a Newbie install these with a borrowed tool from AUTO ZONE

i had my dad help me do mine, and it took about 3 hours to complete. There's the how-to on the forums which helped out a lot. All you need is a little muscle, and some free-time, and you could do it yourself.

The rears were a b**** to do though, for me that is. Not sure if anyone else had the problem of running into the rear seat-belts, which i had to take out to reach my suspension.

man my spring install was easy as hell.... the rear actually was eaier to do than the front. . ..but yea all you need is the spring compressor from autozone and the basic tools and you should be set

paid to get them installed

did anyone pay to have them done?
got the eibach sportlines and was too lazy to put them in with my friend who said it'd be a half day job. Paid $150 at a local performance shop known in town and they were put in right with no problems.
sportlines gave it a nice raked look since they have 1.8" drop all around and our car is hiked up high in the rear, so it ends up raked after the drop

An inpact wrench helps with the spring compressors, just compress both sides equally. Its an easy job, but then again I have done this many many times.

Take off the wheel/rim
Remove the clip holding the brake line to the strut
Take off the two nuts on the bottom of the strut, the rotor assy will lower
Take the 4 nuts off the top of the strut with someone holding it below
Pull the strut down and out (will require some wiggle to get around A-frame, etc)
Compress spring
Un-cap the top of the strut, remove top of strut
Lift compressed spring over the shock making note of orientation (end of spring)
Compress new spring, slide over shock
Reverse previous steps

When you put the strut assy back in, loosly bolt the top 4 first
Then have someone lift the rotor assy so the 2 bolt holes line up with the strut - slide bolts in to hold
Tighten all nuts

I have pics of my Tien install somewhere, I will look for em when I get back from the office

Someone please post if I missed something, I typed fast.....you dont want to screw this process up!
