Guys/girls please answer me this. Was P5 actually offered with different kinds of suspention set-up "sport" and "normal". My dealer was claming so last night and i have never heard of that before. I though i'd ask though before concluding that the dealer is stupid....

my dealer told me the same thing after they pulled the vin # for my bump stops

the 5 was not, but perhaps they're referring to MSP's and MP3's???

Either that or the diff in P5's/es's form the lx/dx cars.

exactly my point. But the thing is i gave him VIN and told him it was a 2002 P5. I swear to got they like asking unnecesary questions...

Dealers don't know crap all about cars, that is one of the things I hate about trying to buy a car from a salesman who can't answer any of my questions.

with some upgrades such as shocks, springs, sway bars, etc... it's possible to use settings other than stock. i've heard of dealers using the MP3/MSP suspension settings on the P5.

the parts computers at mazda list the protege5, mp3 and msp under a category called "mps sport suspension" neither myself or my friend in parts have been able to figure out why

First time i heard about free style. Is that BS or is that for real. Sorry, i am just very curious...
I never heard of it before either. That P5 is an early 2002 model, with aftermarket side markers, CAI, and non standard leather interior. Also looks like the felt crap on the doors was replaced with plastic. Also, the CD button on the stereo looks broken, stuck down. Other than that, the car looks pretty much stock. Anyone ever seen this car before?

The p5's had one form of suspension. the sedan depending on the trim level had different suspension setups. in terms of height and stiffness it goes like this(softest/highest height--to--stiffest/lowest height):

sedan dx/lx-then-sedan es/p5-then-mp3-then-msp.

the salesmen and writers at dealers don't know s***. talk to the techs....preferably a master tech.

Only option I heard for the p5 (want I bought it) was:
1) automatic
2) the SE package which includes leather seats and a moonroof
3) upgrades for the cd player (6 disc changer, md, tape)
