Spool's MSP FMIC & CAI

Anyway, spool, will the hardpipe kit include a flange for a real BOV? What about making the hardpipes so that someone could use the BPV for now and then upgrade to a BOV later on once stalling issues are truly worked out?
Yes we can inlude a nipple instead of a flange so one could use there stock bypass valve.
will i be able to buy just the dp from you? and if it's not included, can i put a hi-flow cat on it? $300 for the muffler....i hope it's the carbon-ti muffler then
The list price on the stainless is $257. Plus we are looking at mandrel bent stainless steel and flanges from the turbine back........(not cat back) Then it willl include a high flow cat thats worth $135. o we are looking at 800-1000 dollars. Remember this is just not an exhaust. Its essentily an exhaust and downpipe and high flow combined in one. We cannot mke 2 pieces because if we copy the path of the stock Downpipe to bolt to the exhaust it is to restrictive.:)
Will the hardpipe kit work with the stock intercooler?
Yes
Does the cold air fit without cutting or enlarging any holes?
Yes....no cutting
hey wow this looks awesome...
Thanks:)
How come in the first picture the pipe from the MAF down is still the factory plastic pipe? This isn't going to be the final production is it?
We intially tooled up a hardpipe before the MAF and realized it was absolutly unnecessary. We were just replacing piping that was fine. And you still can mount your sensors in oem locations. It also keeps the price of the CAI well below $200

Also:
FMIC
CAI
TURBO BACK EXHAUST
HARD PIPES
Should be ready in 2 weeks for sale...........the Dynos are comming soon:D
We baselined at 146whp.....148whp corrected on a dynojet.

I would like to thank Cirielle for graciously letting us R&D on her car and twistedjeckel for helping us back in the day with the proto hardpipe kit
:D

I am talking about the pipe after the MAF, to the turbo. Since the MAF is in the factory airbox, I am not sure of what pipe you refer to being before the MAF.

But it kind of looks kind of lame with all the nice polished stainless, then factory black plastic crap. Will you produce this part for people that want it to look complete even if it makes no performance difference?

I want it to look complete.

Terry, That looks like good stuff!!! cant wait to see the pics of the finished front grill. I do want to keep my Injen CAI though (looks like the pipe to the FMIC is in the way from the pics), and I would like to see a flange for the BOV so I can recirc to the Injen with an hks. Any way to add in the manifold that u guys have been running on ur turbo MP3s? That stock "log" just looks a bit restricting. are u still keeping the stock IC in place and running the air through it to the FMIC, or is that tiny thing outa there? I would like to make another trip up there to see the proto first hand once it is all done. U open on saturdays???

By the way, I had a good time at the open house! Thanx for keep'n it real!

The stocker is in there since it is the radiator and fan support. It is just a dummy unit. We were thinking about intially removing it but we wanted something that was easy and simple to install.

:D Cool!

i don't know if you saw the post but any pics with the intercooler and any dimensions of the intercooler.

but so far I am very interested

As promised new images

Our hardpipe kit.....this is unfinished. The finished product will be stainless

Intercooler is 8x24x2.5

ok terry does that price in clude the greddy type s BOV or the HKS SS bov ? or are they the low level ones ? Also, would a blitz dual drive BOV be available ? I am working on a mutually beneficial agreement with Blitz NA. :D Mebbe you would also be interested in such an agreement. I will contact you. :D

Doh, I just read your first post. Its just the flange. forgive my ignorance lol. Anyways, would a blitz dual drive Flange be available at all ?

that kit looks very nice, just wondering if a bigger intercooler could be had, i will email you What I was thinking and maybe get a price. but its looking excellent. can't wait to see the final product.

Yes we can offer a bigger intercooler for 400whp+ operation. However drilling, cutting and removal of the bumper support is necessary

awww, Terry: i'm feelin all warm and tingly inside now.;)

looks like the you decided to simplify things with the IC out side to the engine pipe by making it 2 pieces instead of 1 large one. any other differences from the originals i had?

everything looks pretty kickass though. your PM box is always full otherwise i'd PM with some other questions. so i'll need to track down an HKS flange for the pipes won't I? anything else please feel free to PM me or i'll try giving you a call at the shop this week at some point.

glad everything finally came through and looks superb. i haven't been around for awhile to follow up on this stuff because i've had some other projects i've been working on and getting rid of the "general lee" was one of them

what if i was to buy all three pieces? the intercooler kit, the turbo back exhaust and the CAI. could there besome kind of discount. also can u provide the bov? And with the bov was there any problem with the car stalling? and lastly (sorry for 20 questions) will the turboback throw a CEL? thanks alot, You guys are awsome!

Just wondering what is the dimension of the core? looks like it is a bit smaller than the iON FMIC.... if that is smaller, will it experience the heatsoak issue???

Also notice that after the kit being installed, there's lower ground clearence, for those of you who have your car lowered (or w/o coilovers...) this maybe an important thing to consider.

Fellow Canadians may experience more problems in the winter with pile of snow sweeping under their car.......

just my 2 cents.... any comments?

Size is not what makes one intercooler better than the other. Many considerations such as the core design, end tanks, core thickness and construction ect. There is such a thing as going to big. The down side of a larger unit is increased pressure drop and decrease in turbo responsiveness. Our core is rated to 300+whp.....its the same one utilized on our Protege turbo kits and absolutly has no issues with heat soak. We have had these cores running on cars in South florida with no issue.

Ground clearence is lowered by .5 an inch. Not an issue unless you lower the car 3 inches or more wich is detrimental to the MSP's handeling.

We can work out a special deal for you.....give us a call:D Unsure on throwing a cel, we will be testing this week with the turbo back;)
