Spool Turbo Installed: HELP!

EGT readings in the downpipe should be around 660C or so at WOT (up to about 700). I too see about 600 to 620 at cruise. Terry posted some info about expected readings on other threads. Don't have a link, but you're in the right ball park. Glad to hear the oil thing is resolved.

Track tested 7.5PSI

hmmmm too much power for those tires...they kept spinning in 1st and 2nd:

2.58 in the 60ft (ive done 2.4 stock)
15.1 @ 96.6MPH in the 1/4

video inside the car recorded.

Im upgrading to a bronze clutch, no flywheel or plate. $80.00

Try throwing some slicks on.... Better clutch, and practice. You will improve big time! :D

Shift patterns are also a big thing to learn and "nail" down as they say!!! :D
 
ic ic..I hope to break into the 14's with my mods...being the exhaust...and the motor mounts. running 8 psi...I hope this is possible without the clutch being upgraded

Are the Mazda trannies that weak?? Would it be ok to run some 15" mickies?? (with a 6 puck or 4 puck clutch of course) Please don't say they are as weak as a VW trannies!! :( :(

You really should upgrade that clutch REAL soon!! The car will PULL so much better!:D

I dont know how much power can this tranny handle. But If you treat it as a baby (no granny shifting) dont give a lot of abuse. It will hold.

anyway....time will tell.

I talked today with the guy that is making 13.2 12psi is now on another proyect: T3/T4, forget internals, big slicks, stock ECU and will try to reach 12secs. SAME TRANNY. And it is still holding.
Saw the new head that hes working on.
 
igdrasil......VERY True, my car has been at 10psi, with no probs. Slicks, drag racing and boost all together will really affect your tranny life though

More power to him!!! :D I plan on running 8psi for now. (tunned by motec meter ect.) Everyday. So that makes me ....... :D

Hmm... im running 7.5psi and I fear that much power, I need to lower that.

Hey spooling. help me with this. I want to lower that to at least 5psi. Any of those springs for the deltagate....can any of those help?
I followed the Deltagate instructions ( to lower boost) and it keeps at 7.5psi.
 
New Clutch

Hmmm...kind of, aggressive, right?

Now I dont know if im going to put this thing...with the stock pressure plate they told me it will hold, but will be aggressive engages. Notice no springs, just 4 bronze plates.
