Special Tools

I am pulling my engine, but I am really having a hard time getting the hard plastic intercooler, intake pipes off. (bang) Is there a special tool to expand the hose to get it over the lips. If so, where can you get one?

Also who makes replacement pipes?

Warm them up with a heat gun.

special tool? me and my dad just used elbow grease to get them out.

just twist and pull with a grunt, don't rock it too much back and forth though it is plastic. You can spray some wd40 around it too and wiggle it around.

ok,you want to take them out in a circular motion. like try twisting them back and forth, while pulling.

Heat gun or Hair dryer FTW, just heat that sucker up and pull like a beast. Another trick that has been discussed in other threads is lot of cursing that always help.

Yeah, just get up in there with a sleeper hold grip!

spit on it and scream at it until it comes off. this will involve a massive tool clean up afterwards though.
