Spark Plugs

I've been browsing the site, and multiple posts, and I've seen people say the car doesn't react well to plugs without the correct gap, which makes sense. However what about the NGK plugs that tell you not to regap them? Are those not a good idea to use,? should you use a plug you can gap to the
.030? Just curious after doing some reading. Any input is appreciated.

For the best possible spark, you want to run a plug within the correct gap spec 0.028-0.031 or lower if you are seriously modded and running a lot of boost. Way back when I changed my plugs for the first time, I used the NGK Laser platinums and did not set the gap. The car ran fine.

Most people including myself have had better performance results using the NGK V-power copper plugs which can be gapped without worrying about damaging the tip. Plus at $1.99 they are a lot cheaper than the stock plug. They just won't last as long as a platinum or iridium plug.

The manual recommends replacement every 30K. I check mine every 6 months or so and have been changing them out at 15K or less miles depending on the condition of them.
