Sore knee!

After several long distance trips in our 09 CX9 I am begining to get a sore spot on the outside of my right knee from where it rubs against the center console! Does anyone know of an accessorie pad that can be attached to that area to lessen the hardness of that plastic? I purchased one recently for my Miata and it really helped alot.

Why not buy another one, just like the one for the Miata.

BTW: Where did you find the pad?

There are some adhesive fabric backed neoprene panels out there that you could just cut to fit.
Or, if you wanted the same pad that you had on the Miata, you can source it from Mazdaspeed, Good Win Racing, or Miatamania.

Now that is a great idea! I too have one of those pads on my desk and it really helps the wrist from getting carpal tunnel. I'll go by my local office supply and pick on up, fit it with some velcro and put into place. It should do the job quite nicely. Thansk SeCX-9 for a clever but simple fix for this problem.

Thanks fxpthl! I thought it was too, but I'm 6ft tall and my knee just doesn't land on any spot to have that problem. Post some pictures after you put it in place.

I'm 6'2", and my knee rubs against the side. I wouldn't say my knee gets sore, but it can get a bit uncomfortable.

Also try reclining your seat back a little. That will change the location of your knee and may provide some relief. Works for me!
