some questions

I looked at a 2008 (i believe it was that year) MS3 over the weekend and had some questions dealing with it.

I have read about some pretty bad engine failures in the MS6 and wanted to know if that problem (snapped rods due to the small size of the rods) carried over to the engine that the MS3 uses? I would suspect that the car would respond to mods with forced induction but how much can it take? Are their any nagging problems that seem to be present in the car? I have read about the recalls but they were all on versions older than the year that I looked at.

The MS6 has been breaking parts because of pushing the engine too far.
There are a few members here with MS3 (2007) in the 300-350 range without any issues. No one knows yet what the breaking point of the MS3 is. I think Laloosh (forum member) might find out soon though... LOL

So far no one has had any issues with the MS3... The fastest recorded MS3 on the forum went 12.9 secs on the 1/4 mile... Thats crazy fast!!!
And thats just with an intake/turbo back exhaust (exiting the turbo and replacing both cats only), increased boost; 2-3 psi), and upgraded fuel pump.

No recalls on the 2008...
