OMG. thanks man you're so smart! i'll remember that next time some kids are playing on I-40 in the middle of the night as i drive fast. whew. that was close.

i forgot public parks are built right on highways and interstates and that it's cool to play on them. i feel so much better now....and man those poles in the middle of the highway..man they are so crazy...they just come out of nowhere! you rock man!

Newayz, yes the msp is electronically governed. Yes it is at 135-140. Yes i have hit it while going through the miserable state of Arkansas on a completely empty highway. No, piggyback EMS systems will not override it. And lastly, no you will not be able to go much higher than a buck-forty because the revs are pretty damn high at that point already. I was surprised at how smooth she was though.

this is ridiculous. the guy asked a simple question. honestly you all should prob grab some Geo Metros and be on your way if you think 135 is fast..seriously, is this the fastest car you have ever owned? it was a simple question. NO it does not mean i'm going to be driving around all day trying to get new high speeds on local crowded highways. it means maybe on an empty highway at night i'll go fast or maybe in a race..being , if I were ever to have enough power to need bother....

So dont come on this thread with stupid "omg why go so fast" comments. I mean seriously. take a ******* passenger seat in any relativiely fast car...and then tell me 135 is "OMG SO FAST" . you sound like the same people that think your vision blurs when nos comes on like in fast and the furious.

i always assumed you would have to use some sort of aftermarket ems to get over the stock ecu's limiter...assuming that is even what limits it..i dont have anywhere near enoguh power to ever really consider needing to break my car's limit.

now excuse me i have to go jump my car and doing THE INSANE SPEED OF 100 that it seems most people on this forum think is OMG SO FAST.

who cares if they think 135 is fast...s*** i do..and ive done 160+ just on back rts not even main highways that was in a mustang though and about 150 in a vw on back roads with plenty of sharp turns and no braking...not everyone drives with their foot on the floor..

Bottom line, I'm in agreement that asking to go 135mph -- EVEN on an 'empty' highway -- is irresponsible. How do you know you aren't going to come flying up on a car with disabled lights? How do you know that you won't blow a tire, fly over the median, and bash into an oncoming car that you 'thought' was in a 'safe zone'? How do you know you won't lose control, flip over the side of an overpass, and crash down onto a car below? The bottom line is that ANYWHERE that is NOT a closed circuit has the chance -- however small -- to kill someone other than yourself when you're driving at those speeds.
