If we didnt get messed up enough from Charley and Frances we will from Ivan. So far its projected to hit us. hopefully it wont but with our luck lately the odds are against us. This is by far the worst hurrican season ever. the first two hit on weekends and now Ivan is supposed to hit on a saturday!
Whats everyone elses thoughts on this?

damn, that s*** sucks...even if its not a direct hit, Id imagine you guys could stand to not have a shitload of rain again...

dang it's gotta suck down there :( when i flew into Atlanta yesterday i saw the front of Frances

Kill me. Please. Well I have no more trees to knock down, so thats a good thing.

like unwound said, bring it on b****...

as long as there is no hurricane 9/16 - 9/19 around florida, georgia, north or south carolina, i will be happy.

that s*** hits us, and I'll be sitting on my back patio with drink in one hand, smoke in the other just like the last two :D

wow you guys have it rough now.... a question for you floridians, do hotels and stuff do crazy deals after all this storm business passes? i been wanting to take my vacation in FL this year yet...

cuz of NOPI? ;)
exactly. our club is driving up to north carolina and then back down to georgia for nopi so hopefully there won't be any surprises.

actually what sucks is that i am really sick right now. hope i feel better before next thursday. i am really in no condition to drive cross state.

bring that beeotch on! 2 down, 2 more to go.
hahahahaha thats exactly what I was thinking.
The people @ work are realy mad about the whole hurricane thing. Im like people being pissed off at it isnt going to make it turn tail and run away, if we get hit we get hit..take it up with God if you have a problem.

Eh If it comes the way Charlie did (Like they are predicting) then Charlotte county is really going to be destroyed. But well see.

mid to late hurricane season isn't the best time to visit as you can see, we've been getting hurricanes in less then 30 days (though this seems to be an over active hurricane season), and the hotels are usually full because people that lost their homes stay there, plus it can be weeks in some places before power and water are restored. not to mention moving the sand back to the beaches, houses being rebuilt, and cleaning the roads, ect. there's not much to see after a hurricane....

Edit: Bring it on Ivan!

1st, it would all depend on where you are going to vacation at-orlando, miami, keywest, clearwater, etc.

2nd, don't jump on the first deal you see, shop around. if you see something on the internet write it down and call the place--they might get ya a better deal that what is published.

3rd, probably won't get a better deal after a hurricane than before it because a lot of peeps evacuate and stay at the hotels and homes aren't the only structyres that get leveled or flooded in the state; the hotels are just as susceptable to the damages which means less rooms available.

look for something in oct. good luck

last i heard ivan was @18mph w/120 mph winds and headed just south of the keys.

how dot hey predict that s***? Honestly, what says it wont go right up the gulf toward texas?

^^
havent seen you around in a while... how did frances treat your neck of the woods? we just had a lot of branches fall

if it does hit us I hope it's not on the weekend. i'm tired of spending my weekends inside.
