A front "downforcer" thingy....Is this just a splitter that runs the whole length of the front bumper? I replaced the splash guard just under the radiator, but is the car supposed to have a "downforcer" thingy too?

If it is, it probably got ripped off by the previous owner since he obviously didn't know how to drive (front bumber has some "spider webs" in the paint probably due to banging into a wall or something).

Can someone show me some pics of a STOCK one that goes on the MP3 or 03 MSP.

Thanks.

ok, so I see what it is, but it is not in the parts catalog anywhere.

I also looked under the car and I don't really see how it would attach to the bumper or what. Anybody else want to be generous and take a couple of shots under the bumper so I have an idea about what the actual piece looks like?

Thanks again.

There are also nuts on the upper side. I would think you must have a bunch of holes there still. It was a Pain to get mine off, when it shattered into pieces.

it is not in the parts catalog. i can get them for $85 shipped

does it make much of a difference of with or without it? i dont have one either.... idk y.. i never acually hit anything hard.. juts scraped the front before..

It doesn't make sense that it is not in the parts catalog, especially if 2 models have this piece. Thanks Mazda. Anywho, the pic shows how there are 4 blue "clips" which I can only figure where this thing would attach, and I suppose it may share some of the screws/bolts for the other panels (fender liner, engine splash guard, etc), but there are no holes that are vacant.

Captain -- I may have to hit you up for that. I thought I had all the panels replaced that were missing/mangled, but I missed this one. It's not a big deal, but I don't want to get protested at an AutoX (Divisional, National, ProSolo, etc.)

Captain KRM P5 -- so is the part you sell an actual Mazda piece, or is it an aftermarket replica? If it is from Mazda, do you happen to have the part #?

hey will one of these fit on a p-5...

it should, you would have to probably drill hoes so you could mount it. i think the only difference in the p5 and the mp3 front bumper is that the mp3 does not have the amber reflectors on the sides, correct me if i am wrong.
