I know that I need new carrier bearings, What else do I need to buy?
new Seals, other bearings, what else?

I was wondering the same thing. I bought the weklded diff from protege garage. I got the two bearings and the two nuts. Do I need any seals when replacing the diff?

i've heard horror stories form people welding an already used differential...mine is welded from brand new

and well. all you need is seals, you can reuse the ebarings from the old one but i wouldn't recommend it, they'r elike 10 bucks each

my diff is not broken, i am just trying to keep it from breaking. Im sure the horror stories you have heard are from people welding their broken diffs back together.
as long as the diff is in good shape, i dont see the difference.
