Ok, so I thought it was my MBC that was causing it, but I just tested the stock one, and it still does it. I reach about 10 psi, but now it takes forever to get there, which makes it sluggish around daily driving. It wont reach 10psi until about 5500rpm. When just a few days ago, I could reach 10psi at about 3800rpm. I dont know if this counts, but I cant even here the turbo as much. Its realy faint. Im stumped.

5,500!? That's when I shift!

Wow... yeah, something is off. Check for leaks...

Why are you hitting 10psi w/ out a boost controller though?

Ok, well I meant stock boost. And no, im using 10psi using a MBC. And I looked for leaks, and founded nothing so far

This may sound silly but I am going to ask anyways... Have you had your oil changed lately? Are you using synthetic? Finally, any chance of an exhaust clog?

Yes, every 3k miles. And infact two days ago. The boost feels strong when it works, its builds realy slow. Ok, here is my wierd theory. Maybe the wastegate is partially stuck open, so it cant build boost as quick, cause its leaking out. I dont know, thats my guess for now. Keep the comments coming!!

your waste gate actuator may be going up like mine is and doing.. next watch out for youer turbo to start making odd noises...

Take off ur heatshield and check ur exhaust mani for cracks. And when in vacumm is ur guage showing under 20-22 psi vacumm

I know my manifold is leaking a bit. It makes a noise for a few minutes when its cold. And yes, my vacum is withing 20-22 at idle. The strange thing is, this problem, up untill this week has been intermitent. On and off, first it could hardly build boost, and then, at the next light, it would be back to normal, and so on and so forth. Well, ill have to check for cracks I guess. Oh man (deadhorse

ok, im thinking it is the wastegate stuck partially open. I did some searching, and that seems to be the problem that causes slow spool up. But, they also claim to only be getting around 4psi of boost. Mine will still get to ten, just a lot slower than it use to. I dont know, im still trying to figure it out. So if it is the wastegate, that means new turbo right?

if your manifold is loose tighten it back up, that is most likely the cause of the problem

do msp have a common problem with exhaust manifolds? im reading all these and i had mine warrentied by the dealer because one bolt fell out and another broke off in the head... just wondering if theres a problem with them... thanks...

Bingo! This has just happened to me. I have three different boost controllers and I know now that the wastegate acuator is fried.
I ran 12-15PSI of kickass, instant on, boost for 76k miles and now at 81k miles the acutator has gone tits up :(
There are no leaks and the turbo is fine but apparently the damn wastegate is not really moving. It had issues early one but the dealer "adjusted" it but that was like 60 some-odd thousand miles ago.
I can plug the line up completely and it does not move!

I can run no more than 11PSI and it gets there SLOWLY!

So, can you replace JUST the actuator??
Yeah, I think so but I'll have to ask Apoc because he is the POON that told me he had one for me.

yes you can buy a new actuator for like $60-$80 Ti-99 just bought one, I have an extra stocker that I need to get it back from Pirana and then you can have it Randy...
