Slight Freak Out.. Help!

Silverstars never lasted more than 6-9 months in my P5. I went through three sets before I gave up on them.

As said before stomping on the gas getting into boost is ALOT of stress on the motor at low rpms as with any turbo car. Always downshift or ease into the pedal. 15psi or whatever you guys run is not good at 2500rpms in a high gear.

As an update, I took the 6 to a local Mazda dealer today and a technician went with me on a drive. I couldn't repeat the stutter but he could, in 4th gear. He took it in and checked the PCM to see if it was updated and it wasn't. He took it for another drive after he flashed the car and he couldn't get the stutter to return. Told me to drive it normal and see if it came back. I haven't gotten the stutter yet but HOLY HELL does this have boost in 1st and 2nd now!!!! It scared the sh!t out of me when I stomped on 1st gear going from a stop light!! Didn't feel like that when I first bought it!

So, I guess we'll see if the stutter comes back... in all honesty, I firmly believe that a car should never stutter or lack power. If it does, there's something wrong with it. I hope this flash helped the problem. If not, I'll mostly likely go back and see what they'll do about it.

Another odd thing happening is a super high idle when I first start the car. Doesn't have to be super cold out. It was about 40ish when I started it this afternoon and it was idling over 2K. Anyone else have this problem?? It's happened a few times but I can't find a common denominator.

Haha silverstars... I bought some wicked bulbs (Hoen) for the 8 and I'll probably go with those again. A friend used to use silverstars and won't buy them any more because they burn out so quickly and cost too much to replace that frequently.

It happens when the ECU is reflashed or the battery is disconnected because the computer has to "re-learn" itself. Give it a few days and see how things change.
