Site issues?

Why is it that this site sometimes just doesn't load, or if it does it sometimes won't run a search?

At times I've also had considerable trouble just making a post. I click submit and it gives me page cannot be displayed.

I like this site a lot, but it's really frustrating sometimes.

We had a lot of similar issues before we switched to the new server. The community growth had finally exceeded the allowable load on our server. So, we switched. Unfortunately, it takes a little time to get all the kinks ironed out. But soon enough, they will be.

You hit it on the nail...Everytime I try to post a new thread which takes 2 minutes, I end up taking 20,000,000,000 HOURS...But hopefully the new server will come alive

Katsmp3 has fixed many of the posting and thread creation problems evidently. Things should be getting better.

Thanks for the update. I was hoping it was something relatively simple like site teething pains.

This is a great site, so I was hoping it wasn't on the way out. :)

Not at all, quite the opposite actually-- this site is growing immensely. In an effort to cope with the growing pains, we had to get a new server. Ironing out all the kinks takes a little time though. Thanks for your patience everyone.

Well hopefully this site will come around soon...SwampAss keep us updated in how to fix the problem you created...lol Got You Back

When you notice a bug, you can forward the info over to an admin or supermod: myself, Kooldino, Anoine, enry, katsmp3, or LinuxRacr.

In that PM give as much detail as possible. If you were trying to create a thread, what section was it in? And copy & paste in the thread title as well as the text.

If it was while running a search, what did you search for, and which options did you select?

Etc.

Having that info can help track down the bugs.
