Sirius hookup

I just got a 2007 Mazda 3 sport and am looking at adding Sirius radio. I have all the hookups from my current setup that was in my old car and want to know if this will work in my 3. I am not sure what Sirius module I have, but it is on that has connects directly to my Kenwood headunit via a CD changer wire. Is this going to work work with a stock HU, or is the kit you get from Mazda have different connectors to the radio? Any help would be appreciated.

The Mazda connector is a 16 pin connector that goes into the back of the factory hu. Mine had an existing 16 pin cable that went into box that came with the Sirius unit, and then the 16 pin connector went from the sirius into the back of the hu.

What was the shape of this connector? The one I have now is a circular one, but the one in the PDF for installation looks rectangular.

it is rectangular. 8+8.

Well I guess my module won't work. I think this is rediculous that I have a perfectly fine working sirius module and still have to spens $260.00 some odd dollars just because of a stupid connector. Maybe I will get an install kit for an aftermarket radio and just go that route, although I did want to keep the stock look. Oh well, thanks for the head up.

You're welcome.

Read thru that sticky on aux inputs, alot have people have screwed with this, someone may have a cheaper solution for you

There's nothing in the inputs sticky to help. The only sirius receiver that works on the 3 is the OEM Mazda one. It sucks but there isn't anything to be done about it.
