Should I paint my FD wheels black? I'll be having to repaint one when I fix an air leak that one of the wheel has so I figured I might as well do all of them if I'm gonna paint them. Yay or nay?

ehhhhhhhhh i vote no. im not a huge fan of black wheels. not my style. Maybe black with the yellow lip?

another resounding no here! i've never seen the point of having black wheels either. don't you want other people to easily see and compliment you on your choice of wheels?

Paint...

Bronze color or gun metal would be nice for yellow p5....Fd wheels is 16x8 right? it will look a lot smaller unless is 17" or more like 18" thats just my personal opinion..

Should've put up a poll, mate. I'm not sure. With all the black accents you already have going, black wheels might be too much and make it a bumblebee. I really dig the silver and say stick with that. I like black wheels on all colours of cars, my winter wheels are black. I'm just weary with all the black you already have going.

Yes....yes....yes. but that should have been obvious coming from me.
I'd recommend a satin black, that's what I've got.

I vote like Tungsten6, try black with a yellow lip, will look killer. If you dont like it just strip it and paint silver, bronze or gunmetal. Those are sweet colors for yellow. Or the other way around, black lip and yellow middle.

No to black but I think a dark, metallic colour would look good. A dark gunmetal type of shade would go well with all the black trim you have on your car. There's nothing wrong with dark wheels, but you still need the curves and shape of your wheels to be apparent or they won't look substantial. With a straight black paint, too much of the rims' subtleties are just going to disappear into a patch of black.

Graphite would be cool. That's what I am going with on mine.

Dupli-color makes wheel paint in this color and it is very durable. I used it on a set of wheels for the hot rod.

no i wouldnt go black. or gunmetal, and black with yellow lip ehhh not a big fan of colored lips. just in my opinion i would say white or polished. i think polished would look dope!!!

I've never been a fan of pure black rims. They always need something, whether that be a stripe of color, a chrome/machined lip, or something else.

I think you could pull off the black rims with a yellow stripe as Tungsten6 suggested tho...

NO. I vote gunmetal or matte gray. I've toyed with the idea of doing mine matte gray. Kinda like these:

I've actually been wanting to do matte gray for awhile, I just can't find a paint that I like enough.
