sidemarker question.

is there anyway to rewire the clear sidemarkers so that they dont act as a turn signal but stay on with lights, and wire the ones on the bumper to act as a turn signal?? thats the way it should be, to me they have it backwards. just wanna know if anyone has doen it and what is involved.

Do what you like, but consider this:

If a car is in your blind spot on a highway, which blinker would catch its driver's eye better - the side light or the amber one?
I think the side one. People who need to see the blinker from the front of our cars have no problem seeing the bright front blinker.

99% of the cars on the road have ther turn signals on the front bumper not on the front quarter panel. sunno i think it would look better. thx for the responses so far.

I want to do the same thing with the clear light but also have it stay as a turn signal. I wonder how you would do that?

It shouldn't be too hard if the blinker (the module that controls the blinker) is seperate from the front. You could pull it and that should take care of it. Might have to run a jumper wire to complete the circuit. I want to make my corner lights flash instead of the city lights on front so I can put clear bulbs in and make them actually function as city lights.
