Show us your Headers

i really am curious about the different gains between the shorty header that keeps the first cat and the fullsized header that gets rid of the 1st cat.

but the real reason I would suggest a shorty header is the fact that everyone I know with a full length header (basically ANYTHING that replaces the pirmary cat) their exhaust note goes to s***. really sounds like crap.

What kind of header did the non shorty car have? Can you post a link?
 
i just installed an obx today and i must say i really like that header. I personally have the ractive and the obx is 5 times better. We kept it clean and it bronzed totally even and it looks excellent.

2nd header car:
Injen CAI, Wagner shorty header, Mazdaspeed axleback
111.31 whp : 121.94 wtq

now, you could say that the "custom" header isn't the best design, but that is up to you

what im saying... doesnt make any damn sense. the first cat is filled with s***. I punched through them when i my turbo kit hooked to it.

ive had my wagner shorty on for the past 5 months and after i installed it, there were some very noticeable gains...i dunno how much but i really could feel the difference...

I know what the first cat is like, I have it off my car right now... and even though it doesn't make sense as to WHY it is like this, the numbers on that dyno are accurate.

maybe "car 1" is sick, or has a badly designed 4-2-1... those are the questions I can't answer. but I can show that the Wagoner header car made 5 whp and 6 wtq more than Beau's car. and Beau has a full cat-back while the shorty car had just an axleback (which is pretty much just a token effort)
 
very good point ryan... its still hard to take in. It'll prob never happen by someone independent but some before after dynos would be nice.

As for now ill give it credit.
