Should I go through with it!!! Trading my MSP for 2000 civic si???

2003.5 MazdaSpeed protege
Ok guys im like a day away from doing this so please any quick opinions will be appreciated.

heres the specs of my car-2003.5 MSP with 145000 miles, was a titanium grey but painted black(not even black mica) also has base protege front bumper and salvage title drives perfect, my dd.
MODS: Turbohoses hardpipes
SU SMIC
AWR motor mounts and transmission
Injen CAI now short ram
Custom 3 inch piping cat-delete back to HKS hipower muffler
STOCK turbo and block
2000 si specs-laser blue 181000 on frame rebuilt engine to factory spec with paper work no body damage at all clean title.
MODS: AEM short ram(ONLY ENGINE MOD)
Hasport motor mounts
Apexi WS2 muffler
Blox ajustable coilovers
Stage 3 clutch(pointless to me rather have stock)
short shifter
AF guage(again stuff that I dont car for)

So there it is guys I havent had any problems with me car just thinking of something different.
 
well it'll be different for sure. IMHO i would stick with the mazda. just the rarity alone of the MSP vs. the si is worth it. it always seems like i'm seeing si's or wanna be badged si's rolling around, but rarely do i see a MSP. and when i do see them i stop and stair, as do a lot of other people. i see an si, i go, "meh i want rice for dinner".

if you arent having any issues with the MSP i'd say stick to it. yeah down the road something will mess up, but then again the si will have its own issues also.
 
Don't go do the dark side. The MSP IMO is way better. I have a friend that has a 00 SIs and he wants make car, but it's not going to happen.
 
oh and another thing, you can hit full boost in the msp quicker than the vtec and waste way less gas in the process. another plus in my mind

Well came to the conclusion yesturday keeping the msp!!! The jerk texted saying "yeah my uncle at the dealer said I would need 800 on top" yeah ok not this lifetime anyway I just didnt have much fun in his car as I did mine. I hope my MSP doesnt get to upset that I was considering it. thanks for the input guys.
 
I looked at SIs before I found my MSP and the only SI I really wanted was the new 07-up models with 200 hp and a 6spd. The older models are nice and reliable, but in no way better than an MSP IMO. Not to mention VTEC will never be able to match the feeling of hitting boost.

Sorry to keep dragging this out but I texted the guy to say no trade, he said why? what happened? I said what def. broke any thoughts of trading was you wanting 800 on top. He replied ok ok 400 in payments. He's pretty persistent , Im still not sold on it.

yeah i was thinking the same thing, why would you keep trying if you knew your car was worth more than mine you should just leave it alone. Seems like he's trying way to hard to get my car and put he's off on me.
 
Yeah he's up to something.Your way better off with the MSP.
 
mazda's also sound better! they dont sound like"iiiii'mmmmmmmmm ggggaaaayyyy" when they go by you,unlike the civics.
