Shipping Help!

I went to the UPS Store today to ship a Corksport Exhaust system to VA from Ohio and it rang up at $240.xx!!!! Seriously? This can't be right. Can anyone tell me how much they paid to ship an exhaust? Other comments?

The box wasnt a normal box, but two he would have to cut apart and put together. I dont know, maybe a 60 inch total length and the base is about 14x14. When he rang it up he said that he had to ship it as if it were a 180 pound object, because that size of a box takes up 180 pounds of space. It just all sounds crazy to me.

USPS doesn't ship stuff this big from what I understand, and they are more expensive in most cases.

Still looking to see what others have paid to ship this kind of item.

Yeah yeah ha. Well give me a few to figure this out. I may be refunding the purchasers money shortly if I don't get a better price.

check with ur local Greyhound Bus line...seriously i received a rear P5 bumper with a mintblue skirt attached to it.....MAKE SURE to get there phone number so when it arrives they can be notified to pick it up...

This is true..you can ship some stuff through Greyhound..but you would still make out better selling it to me locally moneywise..GH will most likely run you $55-$80 or so depending on where its going..and its a PITA.
