Shifter grease

I'm putting in a kartboy short shifter and can't find any silicone grease any where in Western Mass. What can I use unstead??? Please help.

lithium grease? that's what i used.

my B&M shifter came with grease to lube it..

yea, any auto parts store will have an all purpose grease. Mobil 1 is what I used....

If that's all I need then I have that in my garage. I wonder why the say to use silicone grease? oh well, thanks, Tom

I used Red Line synthetic grease for my shifter. I've had it in for a year now with no problems.

well it has a longer lasting properties and a smoother lube.. sounds right huh?? i dunno im talkin outta my ass. no more frootloops with vodka in the afternoons!!! (silly)
