Shift Light

I got a shift light and I can't decide where to put it. I was thinking inside one of the A/C vents (stealth look) but I can't get a vent out. I'm not even sure that the light would fit in it even if I could get it out. Any ideas for another location?

thats actually a pretty cool idea.

inorder to get to the vent, you would need to take the dash piece completely off.

I never said I needed it, I <b>wanted</b> it... big difference.
Actually, I just hate having to stare at the tach when I could be watching more important things (the road/the track).

all you need to do is LISTEN to the engine.....engine noise DOES increase as RPMS increase.....loud eninge = SHIFT

Thanks, I plan on setting it for about 1,300rpms then taking pics, then setting it where it needs to be (6,300)

Plus listening to the engine isnt precise anyway, there are a multitude of things that could be louder then your engine, such as the car next to you or any of your surroundings, so its a damn good idea in my opinion to have a shift light and he is right, I would rather look at the road then at the rpm's.

As requested... pics. I haven't gotten it mounted just where I want it yet. It's in the vent, but it pointing up instead of straight. (just need some 3m tape) But anyways it'll give you an idea... the night shot is pure crap, but it'll hafta do for now.
