Hey Everyone...Just lurked my way on over here from the CX-5 forum and started thinking of my 07 Mazda 3 which I wish I never traded in back in 2010. It was a while ago, but I miss her like crazy.





The color was called phantom blue and she was lowered on Tein Htechs which ended up settling a little lower then the expected height, which was fine in my book. Now I drive this bad little family mobile. It keeps the fun in driving while keeping the pros of a cross over. Not gonna lie a new speed3 might put me back into a hatchback.

The word on the street is that Mazda is currently working on a speed 3, speed 6, and maybe a speed 2. It's about time!

A new Speed 6 would be real interesting. Might tempt me to go back to a sedan.

Why not be bold and create a speed cx-5? I'd be the first one in line.

Agreed - Porsche, Audi, BMW, and Mercedes have been doing hi-po versions. However, every one of those companies have much bigger budgets than does Mazda. My guess is that the speed 3 would be first in line. To differentiate from Ford, Mazda should include an automatic transmission option. Ford does not, and their sales suffer because of it. At least the WRX has an auto, even though it is a CVT type.
