Undercover: Sermons from Mosques in Great Britain

This is some undercover footage from a UK Channel 4 television show documentary. I think that these are from mosques that claim to be moderate. I will not state my opinions on these forums, I would like to hear yours. Remember this is in Great Britain, no Saudi Arabia or some other foreign country. While Great Britian is bending over backwards to integrate and welcome Muslims into its society, I don't know if its working.

Question to Moderate Muslims: Do these Muslims threaten you? Do you fear that they have hijacked your religion?

reminds me of the nazis films before they took power. radical muslems = Neo Nazis to me, just time before they started there genocide. if you dont consider all the attacks the begining already. they keep speaking to their followers telling them everyone outside thier religion is an Kufar(sp) which is an infidel or someone who is not their equal in humanity. ring any bells?
 
What kinda worries me the most is that as a Christian, I am well aware of poeple that preach some radical things in the name of Christianity, but they are either rebuked by Christians or exposed by the mainstream media. But in the case of the Muslim community, Its hard to find criticism from their fellow muslims (although they are starting to speak out) and for the most part, stuff like this is not reported on by the mainstream media.

It seems as though that there is an extra measure of protection or sensitivity given to Muslims that is not extended to Christians. I think its a lot more acceptable to be critical of the Christian Faith than of the Muslim faith and I'm not quite sure why that is.

Could it be that people know that despite claims to the contrary Christians are quite tolerant and we won't Behead or blow you up if you disagree with us? Maybe, maybe not. Who knows.

I really hope that these Muslims are the exception and not the rule.

The videos are kinda disturbing though.

not to say this in a joking manner but thats because they'll ******* blow u up with pleasure, thinking they'll go live in heaven banging 40 virgins for ther effort. i'd be scared as a muslem too, to report anything. who knows what they'd do to an insider. let alone a nice news studio they could park a van outside of....
 
well just finished watching the 3 videos. About 7 mins a piece. I must say that while I'm not totally surprised, it is quite disturbing. Now if this was a fox news documentary or something, there are members of this forum who would say that its biased and that I'm a neo-con bush-bot who sees fear around every corner or something. But this is a UK documentary that seems to me quite objective in its findings. It does not choose sides, it just shows whats actually going on in these Mosques and organizations.

What worries me is that this is not a group of 5 or 6 muslims gathered in a secret meeting. This is out in the open, this is hundred if not thousands of people saying that this is our religion and what it stands for. It seems almost mainstream.

Look I'm going to level with you guys, as a Christian I'm sure that there are those of you who think I'm a kook. And I'm okay with that. I know what I believe as I'm sure those men are sure of what they believe. Also as a Christian I am commanded by God to fulfill the great commission which is to spread the word of Christ to anyone who will listen, and if they are not interested, I'm told to shake the dust of my shoes and move on. I'm told to render unto Ceaser that which belongs to Ceasar and to God that which belongs to God. As a Christian does that mean I'm perfect? HECK NO! Man I've screwed up so much in my life and done stuff I regret so much. But I'm human. I make mistakes, its a part of life.

But never ever at any Church I've attended much less a Church held up as a Beacon of Christianity has any pastor told be to establish a Christian state and kill non-believers, or to beat my wife, or to look forward to a day when Christianity will reign supreme and subjugate all. I look forward to the return of Christ if that happens in my lifetime but if not, so be it.

While I might not agree with Muslim teachings or the teachings of Islam, I would still welcome a Muslim into my home to eat at my table in friendship and I would share the Gospel with him.

But I just don't see after watching these videos how the great Majority of moderate Muslims (if they do exist) cannot stand up and speak out against these people who preach and spread such hatred. It boggles my mind. People who hope their kids aspire to be martyrs for Allah in Jihad.

I'd really like a Muslims perspective on this (especially one who has seen these videos).

I'm not trying to start an uproar, I'm just trying to make us all think and analyze an inportant topic especially in the world we live in today.

I really wanna know what you guys think of the documentary.

I'm with you on this one Donas. I think you and I are some of the only outspokenly Christian members of the forum. Everything has been great thus far, and lets please try to keep this thread civil with respectful and insightful dialogue, so that it does not get dumpstered like 90% of the other threads discussing politics and religion. Subscribing.

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I lovethese forums because I love my Protege5 and because I love mazda. I also love them because intelligent adults of all races and faiths can discuss world issues, learn from each other, pick each others brains and basically shoot the breeze about everything from politics to MAM lawsuits. I'm really just trying to get a better grasp of what we're dealing with here and would also appreciate it if the comments and dialogue remained civil.

Also its recommened that you view the videos before comments so you can keep with the context of the thread. There are 3 videos each of about 7 mins of length. Very interesting to watch. Just reporting pretty much and no opinions, you are left to form your own.

If you have no interest in this topic or think its a waste of space then please just leave it alone and move on. Thanks.

I've only watched the first 10 min of this. It makes me wonder about the moslims in the US. These people follow a child rapist,mohammed! Married a 9 year old and it's ok by their religion? I guess you can find them on kiddy porn sites spanking the monkey yelling Mohammed is great!(321fu) (loser)

way to contribute, ass. Back then marriage of 8-9 year old girls was common long before Mohammed came along. It was also common among Christians too. Infact, Catholic priests still have sex with young boys to this day. yeah it's sick, but you can't pin it on 1 person or religion.
