Sweetest Car Ever
yea so theres something seriously wrong with my car. i was driving today and it stalled at a stop sign. the rpms at idle are usually around 750 and today i noticed they were going from 750 to like 250 then back up then back down......etc. So i took off my AEM CAI and pulled my power cord for my subs back into the fire wall so ill take it to the stealership first thing in the mornin, i just hope they dont blame it on my exhaust. if they do u think anyone in the area could let me borrow their stock exhaust??lol.anyways ill post tomorrow after i go to the dealership.
ps. every time i hit the gas my battery light comes on too...weird huh

They're gonna blame it on your purge solenoid valve and replace it.

just got back from the dealership and they said it was loose connecion with the air intake sensor??? i dont know how that could be because that sensor doesnt even unplug. but he said they downloaded some new software to my ecu or sumthin so ill see how it is.

I want to know what that software does. I wonder.
Glad to hear it wasn't serious. I guess they didn't say anything about your exhaust. Are you going to reinstall the AEM.

yea i dont know what that software does but he said it would fix any problems it had so we'll see how it does. and yeah im gonna put the CAI back on after a few weeks so i can make sure the CEL doesnt come back on.

Just fyi, air intake sensor=MAF sensor. That's the one that you have to unplug to install into the AEM pipe. When (if) you re-install the AEM, be sure that the wire isn't stressed (disconnect it from the battery box).

Yeah the dealership told me that its not actually the sensor being loose its the wiring being pulled loose from the sensor which is caused by some flaws in the placement of the sensor mount on the AEM cold air intake. I have to go to the dealership tomorow to see if they can install another under warrantee. and if not, it shouldnt be to expensive for a MAF but then again its mazda.[/B]

Today i went to the dealership and they told me that the intake voided my warrantee and that i would have to pay them 85 dollars and leave it there overnight. My car is idling at 250-500 then whenever i push the gas the car bogs down and dies after about 2 seconds of sputtering. This is really ticking me off and am seriously thinkin about trading this POS in. My GEO TRACKER ran better than this.

Yea thats what mine was doing, bogging out like that and stalling. The tech at my dealership is pretty kool tho so when he looked at it he knew exactly what the problem was. i put my stock intake back on but he remembered me. the intake was pulling the wires apart inside the insulation, and he soldered them back together and replaced my MAF. under warrenty.

Don't blame Mazda for something you did yourself.

[sigh]
