scmp3's build thread:start to...it will never be finished

Thanks for all the kind words guys. I really appreciate it. if it wernt for the frame damage, I'd probably fix her. She has been so good to me, nd I'll be sad to see her go, but I feel like its time. But it also rips me apart to think about stripping the car apart. Also most that I've talked to that said they had a frame straightened or someone they knew had the frame straightened, said the car was never the same. And I know I could find another msp and swap everything over, but it wouldn't be the same to me. The guy is still gonna take a look Saturday to see how much it would cost to fix, mainly so I don't have those "what if" thoughts. Will keep y'all in the loop. Again thanks for all the kind words.
 
RIP 1490. Mike, I get an awesome feeling when I buy parts off other members cars on here, especially the better builds. I feel like my car is a combination of champions everywhere, different states, countries, people, etc. You'll get a good feeling seeing your parts show up in build threads. Knowing that your car lives on in multiple places. It kinda makes your MSP Voldermort
 
Lol very nice sir. Like I said, there's a slim, very slim chance ill keep the car. It's really hard for me to decide. 1 minute I'm certain, the next, I'm not.....so we will see what the guy that would be fixing my car says.
 
Like I said, Mine was fixed. Once I tweak the bumper/headlight/hood combo a bit, you can't tell apart from perfect. I bought my P5 for $3,700 cash. It's there and it's paid off. Anything I want to do to it is the only payment. Very nice knowing it's paid for. The only thing you have to worry about is paying to fix it. If you can live with that price, then it's worth keeping
 
Personally, I would move on. You had your fun and she's resting now; no need to bring her back from the died. Start fresh, get your money situation together and figure out which new platform you want to get serious about. Don't dump all your money into the same car again trying to piece her back together.

unfortunate, but true words...I would probably cry if my car was totaled, and want to fix it also. It makes more sense to swap shells than to repair her, but I understand your connection with your car......Now when can I pick up my parts?
 
Changed my mind again. Msp is here to stay. Who says I can't have 2 maybe 3 badass mazdas. I just can't let her go

My thoughts are why not? I don't owe money on any of my cars. And I don't have a huge amount every month for bills. So she is staying
 
She's paid off, you have a DD that's paid off. You're attached. You have all the time in the world. I'm really glad you're keeping her Mike
 
He is keeping it. It's set in stone this time. Mike, a bit of advice....edit this thread's title and get rid of the "it will never be finished" part. that's bad juu-juu

Multiple cars are a pain in the ass to keep up with. Trust me, it's almost a full time job for my fleet. Good luck to ya on this.
