I'm here. I tried to do the test and tune with a new tire combo. I put 225 Hoosiers on the back and they rubbed the struts. Even with spacers, they're not going to fit my car. So, I'm back to the Hoosier's on front, Avons on back. It's worked all year, better not fail me now.

Is that the new 225/40/17 hoosier or the old 225/45/17 size?

I got down earlier this morning. I talked to David Heddrick already and I think I saw Cindy's car as I was leaving this evening. I'm paddocked right beside the drag strip. Just go to the big American flag and go down the hill and to the right. I'm in the corner. I have $20 for everyone on the list so please come find me or I'll find you.

225/45/17 RS05's. I went ahead and put the Avons on the rear. 225/45/17 A6's on front and the same size Avons on back.

Congratulations, Cindy on 2nd overall in DSL! Great drive and I hope you had lots of fun as well.

While it's too late for Nationals, I can tell you that I ran a set of 225/40 x 17 Hoosier A6's front and rear at the Packwood National Tour with no rubbing issues at all. This size is lighter and shorter than the 225/45 x 17 tires which is why they don't rub. Top speed in 2nd gear is still over 60 mph and had enough headroom on a fast open course at Packwood that I didn't need 3rd gear. (The wheels are TD Pro Race 1s in 17 x 7 with +50 offset.)

Call Hoosier Tom at Mid Atlantic Motorsports 574-243-5553; he got me a set back in July with no trouble when Tire Rack didn't even list the size as available.
