?'s about the new 3's....

Mazda would be first for me, unless your considering a WRX, it that case it would be a tough call.

damn if you can get a GTI for 300/month then its a good deal. but no sunroof (i cant never again go without a sunroof).
How much are you getting from your trade in?
I think Mazda can work a better deal though.

The 3 handles very well for a FWD car. Way better than the Civic.

really? have you driven an '06 Si? you know i wasn't referring to the last-gen hatch, right?

Everybody I've known with a VW has had problems with them. Everything from door handles falling off to fuel lines breaking to major engine and transmission work.
I wouldn't take one if it was given to me.

Exactly right! I had a Mercedes for a little while and it was the biggest pain in the ass I ever owned. Worse than a Ford.

I did some looking at specs between the 3s and TC. The 3s was .4 sec faster in 0-60, but the TC was slightly quicker in the 1\4. TC was a couple hundred heavier. I have a p5 and my friend has a tc. the TC is a nice car, he let me drive it and yes it DOES feel a bit sluggish on RPMS but the car has no problem chirping through 4th gear, I can barely get my p5 to chirp second... They dyno'd the TC in the low 140's stock, and I dont know what the 3s dyno's at. If they m3 handles like my p5, that would be the decision maker for me, stock my car handles beautifully...

if i had to take a choice between a 3 and a wrx, i'd take the wrx anyday. awd, turbo-powered station wagon OH YES! (yes i would get the wagon)

I wouldn't. I've already looked at Subaru WRXs and written them off due to their weak transmissions and lousy warranty service.

Madashell I totally agree with you on the subaru, just got done testing one today. The impreza i felt like poo and the wrx wasnt a whole lot better. Feeling the power was pretty cool though, doubling from my massing 100hp, felt nice to have that little kick in the pants feeling. Maybe my expectations were too high for the WRX?

I too am looking at the same cars you are

-3s
-TC

Power wise they are pretty much identicle. Room wise 3s > TC. The tc has a horrid little trunk area, im leaning on the 3s now.
