Rx8 Wheels

you shouldnt need spacers, I plan on just throwing mine on. There are a few members on here with them on already and some put spacers, some don't. I guess it just depends on you and what you feel comfortable with. I'm curious to see how my car is going to do with a 2.5' drop and 215/35-18.
"what you feel comfortable with" isn't going to keep them from hitting the strut. (peep)

Congrads jr, thats what I paid for 1 new wheel :( Can't wait to see pics (cool)

No they dont weight alot, I picked them up and assumed they would be heavier! I love them, How I need some 215/35/18's, and spacers right?
With a Eibach Pro kit drop!

Mine only rubbed on sharp corners to the right, nowhere else. I put spacers in jsut cause it bothered me and im fine now. Great catch, they will look awesome!

u lucky bastard!! i can never ever get good finds or deals on anything , take pics as soon as u get tires for them and get them mounted and put on the car

Rgr that. Hey what size(mm) spacers should I get?
Ive read 5mm and Ive seen them on ebay for like 10 bucks.
I need them just for the back, right?

jR you have been looking for wheels for a long time. I have seen you in the FS section inquiring about racing harts. All I can say is wow! You should be very happy. Congrats.

wow, thats is a great buy! And they look authentic to me. Is there a really big market out there for rx8 stock rims? If, I might consider selling mine after getting the mazdaspeed ones.

that wheel is just too big for a protege. 35 is just asking for bent wheels.

that is not true, As long as you know how to drive and don't hit every damn pot hole in the street, then you would be fine. On My monte carlo that I just sold, I had 20' chrome neeper haaz wheels w/ 245/35 tires on it for 5.5 years and never ever had a problem.

you can avoid every pothole on the street that you can see (which I do) until that one time where for whatever reason (standing water, limited visibility, whatever) you don't see it or you can't avoid it, and then you're screwed

btw 245/35 is also significantly different than 215/35

Yes, he does. They look awesome.

Nice find dude! Now get some tires on those RX2 wheels and slap 'em on your car. :)

BTW- I have 17's with 40 series tires, and the NE road have been hell on my rims this summer. 2 bends in 1 front wheel, and 1 in a rear wheel this year, plus the 1 other rear wheel that was bent last summer. Grrr....

Im not saying that you can avoid every single pot hole, but for the most part you can be careful. Obviously I hit a few pot holes in my day( believe me there were many times I turned my music down and cursed at the street after it damn near ate my car) and as I said b4 I never had a problem. All Im saying is that in regards to the comment about 'having a 35 series tire is asking for a bent wheel' is a bit drastic.

btw, sorry to go off topic a lil, this is still a good find. oh and about the spacers, I decided to go ahead and get some, I guess if your going to do it, do it right from the jump. So if you dont want to have the chnace of rubbing, 5mm spacers should just do fine.
