Rust behind wheels, on rotors

I recently got Enkei wheels and the piece behind where the wheel is bolted has been showing up with giant rust patches (the cylinder shaped piece in front of the rotor and behind the wheel). A good bit on my rotors as well. Cause? Solution? It looks like crap right now and I'd like to make it stop...

That's gonna happen, it's steel. It happens on all cars.
Solution? sand the F* out of it, get it clean, and then prime and paint to the color of your choice. Some extreme people chrome it.

i had the same problem... i did what blynzoo said to do. i painted that part on the rotor black. try to use high temp paint. it last longer. had that and my calapers painted awile ago and it still looks good.

getting rust on the rotors is totally normal...that will all be scraped off pretty much under normal braking conditions...just go out and try braking hard and all the rust on the rotors should be gone...i don't know about any of the other rust but i think it's all pretty common

Yap, rust on rotors, very normal, don't worry about it, next time when you drop by some dealership, check out their cars on the lot, I bet you will find some rusted rotors.

he's speaking of rust on the rotor cap, which never contacts the pads. That part is always exposed and must be coated or rustproofed to avoid rusting.
