Rush in a Car Crash! (MSP Totaled)

And not to defend him...but you are also making this out to be much more than it is....you both need to just watch your tongues honestly.

You did make a mistake....You are now paying for it.
It sucks...I am sorry..your car was beatiful.
HE doesnt need to tell you...nor do you need to blow it out of proportion either.

This is just someone from the outside looking in's perspective.

Remember...It was just a Car....It is replaceable.
And I'm in wholehearted agreement. And if I was giving the impression that nothing in the accident was my fault, that's not what I meant to do. Of course there were some things that were my fault. Some would say that I shouldn't have even BEEN on the road that day, because it was snowing. And so on and so forth. All I'm saying is that there's no point in sitting here, snapping at each other about something that cannot be changed. It's done, the end, and all I can do now is move forward. And that's what I'm trying to do here in this thread, too.

hey ill help every one stay on track for this thread lol good luck with dealing with insurance cuz it can be a real hassel and keep us posted on wat happens with everything and even if u dont get it back dont forget aboot us and come and visit lol ;)

Any further posts made that don't pertain to what this thread is actually about NOW will be deleted. It's a shame that I have to play referee even in THIS thread .. but that's life, I guess.

i'm not trying to be rude or anything RUSH, but in all due respect to what you're going through, a thread is a thread, and a lot of people are interested in this story and how it plays out. people commenting on the accident and the post is appropriate whether you like or don't like what's being said. that's what we all go through when we post. waiving the moderator flag and threatening to shut down a thread, that you didn't even start, is a little inappropriate. almost "do as i say and not as i do."

Oh yeah..whats the status of your car BTW?
You mentioned buying it back...and I think that would be very wise depending on the buy back Price.

When did I say I was going to shut the thread down? And I have no problem with anything, when it is stated in a respectful manner and not in a brash, inconsiderate one.

That's what I'm still waiting to hear on. I should be finding out the figures tomorrow .. though I'll be running around so much with classes that I hope I'll be able to get to my phone when the insurance company calls. AND right after my classes tomorrow (which finish at 8pm), I'm driving back to Philly to go to the salvage yard first thing Tuesday morning -- to pull the rest of my personal stuff outta the MSP, and probably the audio equipment too. I've heard too many horror stories about salvage yard cars being broken into!

Thats the best thing I read in this thread it went from the wreck to what car she should get (off topic) to trying to help others avoid same thing happening to others (on topic) to her wanting to shut it down Hysterical

Why didn't you have snow tires on? Just asking I have seen you critizes several people about how snow tires are manditory on the MSP!

I did have on my snow tires. I bought new wheels this past fall, rather than the steelies, so that the car wouldn't look so ugly in the wintertime. :)

haha i didnt realize how ugly steelies are till i got em too lol wat rims did u have on it lol

They really are a HUGE eyesore, LOL. For some reason when I took 'em off my MSP last winter, I'd just finally gotten fed up with 'em and decided to pick up a nicer set for the snowy months.

I picked up a set of Maxxim Ahead in graphite -- got 'em for only $82 per wheel!

I'm hoping to pull my winter wheel/tire setup off my MSP and put my summer shoes back on while the car is still in the salvage yard .. JUST in case I don't buy the car back, my winter setup is worth more than my summer setup, pathetically enough. ;)

haha those are way good for winter im jealous lol y ur summer ones so cheap lol bald tires??

Pretty much! The rubber isn't bald, but it's on the lower end and I was planning on buying a whole new set of tires in the springtime. And the wheels themselves aren't anything phenomenal -- Motegi brand, and they've seen their share of scuffs and scratches over the last four seasons I've had 'em on the car.

The winter setup, though .. The wheels have only been out of the box for two months, and two of the four tires are only two months old, too! But that's not the only reason I want 'em off my MSP .. One of my parents' cars is in sore need of some new tires, and that car has the same bolt pattern as my MSP. So I figure the least I can do to try to pay my parents' back for all they've done for me, is to give them that wheel/tire setup (if the offset/bore/etc fit).

Maybe I missed it somewhere, but why do you use the new rims with the snow tires if your old ones are in worse shape? Different size I'm guessing? Because won't the salt and crap they put all over the roads eat the coating off the new ones?

I think because she got tired of the ugly steelies...and for $82.00 a pop, they're not that expensive to replace if they get messed up from the salt.

My summer wheels are 18" .. and my winter ones are 16". I actually had NOT been expecting to get wheels as 'nice' as the ones I wound up with, but when I stumbled across 'em for that price -- I mean, duh. ;)

Different size too....

Put the steelies on the car... tell anyone interested that the car came stock with steelies and covers... lol! Keep both sets.
