There's no question as to which one will be the better car in 150,000 miles or so.

there's no question that he won't keep whichever car he gets past 75K ;)

at least 95% of people who buy cars like this don't.
If your objective is to get 150K out of a car, u buy a civic or a prius...not a sports car.

The Acura is flat-out built better. If your objective is to buy a disposable car, then that's a really good train of thought you're using. Personally, when I'm done with my car, I plan on selling it.

I rest my case...These cars are nearly identical in value...IF you were going to keep the car for 150K miles then the honda driveline would definitely be in better shape, as long as you didnt turbo it...But lets get real, who is going to keep the car for that long. You;d get jsut as much for the subie at 75K as you would for the Ac.

If the car hit 75K with minimal maintenance then I'm happy. umm I'm surprise no one here said anything about the Evo. oh well

EVO= above his price range.
RS=high end of the range with very little comfort (shrug)

Im more surprised no one said GTI VR6 or Celica GTS

I don't know man. Those numbers could be skewed by its hype still...I know a few in state college with every option are going for under $18,000 with 40,000 miles, even with the factory wheel tire package (plus whatever else that comes with)...

and honda's always do that big depreciation at first...Civics drop the same way...But check that again in 2 years when its 75,000 miles...My bet is the Acura won't be a whole lot cheaper...

I think we've agreed to disagree. Thanks for knowing its all a matter of opinion and jest, and not taking it personally like people on a few other boards I know of...

what makes that pic more funny is my last name is Jones (lol)

I don't know about the rest of you, but I plan on keeping my MSP FOREVAR! :p Hopefully, by like 2007 or something, I can afford to buy a 2nd car & then decide which one will be the daily driver.

thats where I feel much different. I dont plan on keeping the P5 much longer than a year.

I got to have one of deez sexy beasts :D

Sorry guys, and thanks for voting. But after cafeful consideration my choice of speed is the RSX. The refinement and reliability what my main concern. The turbo and AWD are a nice touch but I can't see myself paying that much for a Subaru. And the crappy cup holder position isn't helping at all. Well, hopfully the 05 RSX will get some power increase....it's going to be weird driving a car that everyone has... (silly)

I know thats an STi, but other than the 6spd shifter, and the DCCD and waterspray controls, the console is the same, including the radio.

hahaha If you drop by where I live, all you see is Honda and acura...and RSX are a dime a dozen

I guess Subaru really paid attention to their customer's letters and e-mail. Let's see if Audi will follow suit.
