Royal Purple ATF

What would be the advantages or disadvantages to running Royal Purple Automatic Transmission Fluid in my '03 MSP? Could this damage my transmission?

Yes, in MTs designed for ATF. The owner's manual explains the requirements for our transmission. I would stay within those guidelines.

I use royal purple in my tranny but not atf. I love royal purple.

its horrible for it, our trannies dont even like synthetic that much... so atf will not work at all

What are you saying?? - That synthetic will kill our trannies or will damage them? Where is your proof, bud??. I have been running my Royal Purple in my P5 (sportshift) for 25,ooo + miles. Still smooth as butter and much runs cooler. My buddy owes a tranny shop has been doing my fluild changes and monitoring the tranny...no issues, clean and smooth as a babys butt.... (rlaugh)

i got to agree i had royal purple in my tranny for about 12,000 miles and i had no problems.
