romantic events...

take her to see a play and out for dinner. Girls love that stuff. Picnics at the park are always fun too.

After 4 years I cant think of a really romantic date that we've had. Its doing the little romantic things on "just another date" that makes things special.

On our second Valentines day together, I went to his work before he did and put a maroon and yellow carnation (guy colors) with 6 car magazines on his desk. We're in college so we do what we can to be romantic on extremely tight budgets.

Oh wait, we did have a romantic date.. we went to New Orleans for a day and went to the zoo and the aquarium.

I just stopped by target to see my girlfriend (works there)
asked to borrow her car keys, put 12 roses in her car along with a "thinking of you" note

Use your car. I've also done ths before.

We were just going to chill before I took her to work. I called and told her I was going to be late. I went to get a dozen roses and put them on the passenger seat.
Honked the horn. She came out, opened the door and almost sat on the roses...lol Then she realized and took a Huge gasp.
Her eyes filled up with tears and then she gave me a really long, hard hug.
Then when I dropped her to her job, she gave me another really, really long hug and didn't want to leave.

:D
hell yeah
that kinda s*** drives women wild

made her day go from that after work s*** feeling, to somthing along the lines of winning the lotto

hopelessly romantic

i have taken walks by a lake in the starlight, and read poems that i wrote to the women i cared so deeply for. i have made dinner, ate by candlelight and danced to slow music afterward. i have underneath the blanket of fireworks on the fourth of july, held a girl i felt so much for. i have while it was snowing, sat by a lake with teary eyes and planned for the future with her.

my previous relationship, when she was sick i went by her work and left her a get well card with a rose, and a poem i wrote. i held her and tucked her into bed, kissed her oh so softly while whispering i love you's.

one of the most romantic things that has ever happened to me was i was standing outside on my driveway with this girl. i told her i was going to go away for a week, and she said, "well i'd like to give you something to remember me by," and she kissed me. yikes.

i have so many great ideas.... i need a woman to help me with them! perfect date:

I cook dinner, and we eat by candlelight. as we eat we have a real deep hearted converstaion about life and love and the world. then we slip away for a walk outside, as we dance in the street. then we walk by the lake as i hold her tightly thinking to myself how lucky and fortunate i am to be with her, and how small we really are just two people on a planet who care so much. then we walk back to my house and cuddle for awhile, just laying there peacefully, as we gaze into each others eyes. then after we chat awhile and cuddle and kiss gently, i take her back to her house, and wish her a very happy goodnight, and then THE kiss, THE kiss that everyone talks about happens.

The night air fell,
Like the leaves of Autumn.
I caught you in my arms,
And held you gently.
I Held you with my arms of strength,
To protect you from the cold.
I whispered softly my thoughts,
And you giggled as your hair flew back.
That is all I need, as a memory from you,
And in those dreams I hope us to be.
I will never forget the way you looked,
On that cool crisp autumn night.
You held my hand and felt I your warmth,
And sensed the hope to be.
I think I can really feel it,
That you are the one for me.

goddammit aric, now i am sad you bastard! go to hell! lol

Damn...I'm all like teary eyed and stuff...why did you have to post that? Only in my dreams would it be that perfect.

man oh man... THE kiss.. wowow.. man oh man.... the perfect kiss.. whooooo weeee... i've only had one absolutely perfect one...

we were sitting on a bench in a park.. and she was scared of the bugs and what not and i used that as an excuse to get her on my lap and keep her warm.. it was fairly late (11pm or so) so it was quite dark... and i was lightly rubbing her to keep her warm... and the electricity.. oh my goodness... every single bit of my sense were 200% alert, heart beating.. chemistry flowing.. girl giggling... and then in the tense and frigid air i muster up the courage and take my arm opposing her body, put my hand to her chin, lifted it up for the moonlight to shine on her face and i reach out with my lips and steal a tiny but oh so sweet kiss from her with a light press of my lips against hers... and she shies away giggling some more... wow... the emotional intensity that i had... how i long for that kind of kiss again.. @_@

every time i think of this kiss.. my heart feels as if it's going to burst out from my chest then i have to shake it off... lol

Romance gone bad

On my girlfriend and I's 1st anniversary, i bought rose pedals, a dozen pink/white roses, a romantic card with my own romantic words, and a freaking HUGE teddy bear, b/c she loves to have them to cuddle when i'm not there. Well, the night before our anniversary, at around 1:00AM, i opened up her car, and covered the entire front area with rose pedals, put the teddy in the passenger seat, buckled him up, placed the card on top of the bear, and placed the roses in a vase with water so they'll live. Well the next day, she walks out to her car, to see that huge teddy sitting in the seat. The only problem is that she thought that it was a person, and someone was breaking in her car, so she ran back inside her house, and called me crying about how some guy was in her car. Needless to say i convinced her that it in fact wasn't a robber, but to go out to her car and take a look. Well she did and needless to say she loved it, but i managed to scare the hell out of her, and to top it off, it got so cold that night that the water in the vase froze so the roses died soon after. Then i had to help clean all the rose pedals out of her car.

That's what i get for being romantic, but she still loved it. It was worth it.

It just depends on what your woman wants or is like. Some great romantic ideas were thrown here, but the thing is that you have to listen and pay attention (I know, it's hard).

And like DJ said, it can be simple things.

The fact that you listened and know what she wants counts more than if you picked some romantic cliche.

Here's my formula:
-Keep listening for that thing
-Make note of it and don't mention it ever again
-Wait a long time, the longer the better
-Surprise her with it

Result:
Major points for paying attention to her and remembering after so long and making a surprise of it. Plus, you can always add other romantic things to that one thing.

Of course this is all assuming that you're in it for the long term.

ahh love....i have never done anything romantice or recieved anything romantic....but when i do...i will let you know. Just making her feel special in anyway is yur main goal to let her know that u think about her and that you care for her...chicks dig that stuff...any way will be romantic

you shouldn't have to ask

I probably wont be in California any time this decade though
soooo, if ya ever come to northern Illinois drop me a line and I'll take ya to lunch

The Ideal Date

Well first off I'd take her to McDonalds and get her anything on the value menu, and a large water of course. After that we would go to a concert and sit on the other side of the fence to hear the music. After that I'd take her to a carnival to meet all my friends, I'd buy her cotton candy and let her go down on me on the Ferris Wheel. I wouldn't even make her pay for anyting, I'm such a gentleman!
