Rishie's FITMENT RECIPE

I don't know of anyone that has had actual problems with 215's though... all my buddies that have protege's have run them, my brother runs them etc. The difference is obviously rims. I guess what it comes down to is you can run 215's and if they rub for some reason, just get a set of camber bolts from flyin miata and have the rears cambered negative (good for handling) some and you'll be just fine.

Well should I go with the 17x7.5 with +45 or could i go with the 17x8 with +45 what would be a better fit?

that one is easy... the 7.5 You'll also never get a tire wide enough to make use of the 8" rim to fit under the car anyway... 7.5 is plenty large.

thank you so much for all of your help like i said earlier I am incompetent when it comes to wheel and tire size's i know what i like for both lol but the sizing its where i get all confused. You have been a really big help in clearing things up for me im pretty sure im gunna get 17x7.5 with the +45 and all thats left 2 decided is which size tires i end up buying for them.

O and hopefully soon I will pick up some new rotors and some EBC yellow pads from ya that sounds like sufficient repayment for all your help lol haha

Quick question... Does this fitment recipe apply specifically to those who have lowered their vehicles? I expect to replace my damaged stock rims with some 17x7s, and have no plans for lowering.

With 205/40/17 tires, would the minimum offset of 42 still stand? Is it worth going with 42s if they 'barely make it', or should I look for something higher?

Thanks for the help with this! :)

I found some rims I liked on tirerack. They are Kazera KZ-S with a 50mm offset, was looking at getting them with Kumho ECSTA ASX with a tire size of 205/40WR17. I got Eibach Pros and Tokico HPs. Would this be a good match? I was thinking of doing 215/40s but 20 extra a piece is just a bit much.

quick question:
I've got 17x7 42 offset wheels on a P5 w/ 205/40 tires. For now it doesn't rub on stock suspension, but I may be picking up an MSP suspension (springs / struts). It should only be a .75" drop all around. Will I rub? Where?

Thanks

With that setup, it will rub in the rear. I think you'll be okay though. Just watch out for bumps and when you have the car loaded up with hookers and beer.

What about 17x7 stock Mazda3 wheels on an 03 P5, lowered with Eibach Prokit?? I believe the offset is 52.5.. Will i be able to go with a 45 series tire?????

Try 215/45 or 205/45. It might rub a little bit. Nothing a little fender rolling couldn't fix. My Koseis were about the same... 215/45... after fender rolling it was fine.

how bad? fender-rolling-time bad? or just look-out-for-speedbumps bad?

LOL, what I meant to stay in the first one is that if it rubs, it will rub in the rear. But yea, just speedbumps kind of thing... watch your sidewalls and fenders for rubber and markings. If it looks bad and you are concerned, rent the fender roller from rolleryourfender.com

I am looking at a set of 18x7.5 w/40 offset. I am running 215/35/18 tires. Will I have rubbing issues? I have the eibach prokit and tokico blues. My current wheels have 45 offset and I have no rubbing issues at all.

Yes you will rub :( --- you will need a +48 to live in a no rubbing world -

Sincer everyone on the planet has asked a question, and I haven't seemed to find my answer....

2003 Protege LX
Here's what I have now:

205/50R15's on a Stock 15x6 wheel, offset is unknown.

What I want to put on is:

205/50R15's on a Konig Helium 15x6.5" Wheel w/ +40 Offset.

Will this fit? Is it too much of an offset decrease?

Im bumping cause im not too familiar with fitment and tire/wheel sizes. but basically im wanting to get some gram lights for my p5. I am lowered on espelir (sp?) springs and tokico blue struts. I am wanting to get the Gram Lights 57PRO in gold with silver lip realy in 17" preferably but I am wondering if the 18's would fit on the p5. or the 57S as well. let me know. currently i have a set of 215/40/17 tires i can use if i get them in 17" but im wodnering overall fitment on these since im lowered. thanks again.

Can i fit any of these on an mp3?

5Zigen FN01RC 17x10
5Zigen FN01RC 17x9
5Zigen FN01RC 17x8

I really wanted the 17x9's is it possible for 17x10s? What do I have to do to fit at least 17x9
