Rishie's FITMENT RECIPE

I have set of goldline springs suppose to be 2in drop all around I have 17in rims with an offset of 42 can i go with 215-40-17 or 205-45-17 can anyone tell me what would be the pro/cons and which one would be in a rubless situation thanks

bump, is 225/45/R17 on wheels with a +40 offset a dream?

Would rolling fenders be enough?

Dropped on s.tech's

i think the +40 offset might be too much to overcome by rolling the fenders, especially with 225's

Not even close!!
I barely squeezed 215/35/18's with 50mm offset.
.200" clearance on either side of the tire to my NEX coilovers.
10mm is .393" difference. You are adding .590" to the fender side.

I've been doing alot of reading since I made that post, if anything I would need a 205 tire but would I still have problems? Grrr, damn these offsets...

it would be mainly because of the 40mm offset, many ppl have 225's on, just with higher offsets

How low could you drop a P5 with MSP rims, with either a 205/40 or 215/45 tire and be safe from any rubbing issues? From the recipe, it looks like things should be free and clear, but just wanted to make sure.

My turn. I have an '03 ES sedan. Just bought some rims, 16 X 7 w/40mm offset. From reading this whole thread I believe these will work without rubbing using either stock size (195/50) or maybe 205/45 tires. Anyone know for sure? If they won't then I will have some rims up for sale!

if you don't lower, you will be fine.

Looks like I'm SOL then, as I have the Tokico HP kit which lowers a little over 1". Guess those rims will be up for sale when I get home...

Try them on with the stock tire size. You may be able to roll your fenders to get the extra clearance if needed.

Don't really want to roll my fenders. I bought the rims because they were a good deal and the research I did at the time said they would work. I will try them just to make sure, but I figure now I will just save to get the rims I really want (if I ever hear back from AutoRND).

I'm interested in how this is going to work out, I'm looking at similiar wheels and would like to know how it works with your clearances. If it works for the five lug sedan, according to the recipe, it should work for the 4 lug sedan.

i had 225/45/17 on my msp with wheels with a 48 offsett and tein springs. i rubbed on big bumps. i didnt roll my fenders completely, but found there was on the front part of the rear fenders the lip is wider than the rest of the lip for only about 4 inches and bent that back with a rubber mallet and i had no rubbing afterwards

I'll post back here with my test fit results, but it won't be until I get home early February.

I just want a confirmation...

18*7.5 offset 45, 215/40/18

will it fit my 03.5 msp??

wheels are Enkei Evo5

Thanks

Ben

Hopefully I'll be picking up another set of 17x7.5 +48 wheels and I plan on running a 225/45 on them. We'll see how bad it rubs! Since they'll be track only wheels I don't forsee any problems.

Well the new wheels should be on their way tomorrow...
