Ridiculous Rules

you followed the rules, the thread got reopened. No biggie. This is not a democracy. Some of the rules suck, but they are part of what make this forum great. There is some law and order.

I actually know a couple sites that follow this rule. A lot of the dsm sites require this and so does the other mazda 3 forum requires this. I personally think its a great thing to do. I was actually banned from a dsm site because I didnt follow the rule they had there. And yeah thats all you have to do.. was get 1 or 2 pics with a peice of paper that takes 5 seconds to write down the info and slap it there. For someone that has 600 posts you would think that, the person would have stumbled across a marketplace thread or the for sale thread in his days here and saw everyone doing this.. Im just saying. But regardless of all this.. glad your for sale thing is back open and good luck with it.

Thanks.

Not taking sides here , LOL, but a quick question,

Wouldn't it be possible to photoshop that info onto a pic?(shrug)

believe me, its easy to tell the difference from a physicall sign in the pic and a PSed sign...

I know people on this forum that see my car in person everyday. That have seen everything I have for sale in my thread.
Are they the ones buying what you're selling? That statement means absolutely nothing to anyone else but them. If you expect only people that know you to buy your stuff then it's a waste of your time anyway to even list it here, new or old pics. The rule is here for everybody, once again this isn't a democracy or the real world so everyone deals with rules or checks out. The rule protects you the same way it protects everyone else on this forum. How is it that it works against you? Bet you couldn't get 2% of members to vote against having this rule. Put up a poll & let's see. Nevermind, that would be a waste of time too because even if you got 99% somehow, the rule won't change. Everyone will just have to act like they work a Vegas blackjack table & just deal...........

Post on miata.net, acurazine, or audiworld and try crap like this.

I dare you.. Our rules are lenient compared to them.

Four things.

1. I'm surprised how no one mentioned (unless I missed it) that the FS rules are in place to protect BOTH the seller and the buyer. The seller can provide pictures that were taken just before the sale, proving the condition the item was in. The door swings both ways here.

2. I don't know why people are immediately bashing someone for opening a thread about the rules. Let's both be civil here.

3. To the original poster - you are lucky I didn't come across the thread. I delete them on site, not just close them (because people can still see the thread and conduct a sale via PM).

4. To the op - thank you for taking the proper pics and moving on. I sold an item myself a year ago and remember how much of a pain in the butt it was to get things going, but it was well worth it.

Even me with thousands of posts and 6+ years here had to post the little sign in my car. Its actually one of the few rules that I approve of here ;)
