Ridiculous Rules

what dont you appreciate? the fact that you cant simply read the rules and then cry that you dont get special treatment? seriously, time to wake up...

Never asked for special treatment. Simply stated my opinion and asked a question that was answered. Period.

The fact of the matter is that when you register your account on Mazda Forums, you are agreeing to abide by all of the forum's rules and policies.

By submitting a thread in the FS section, you are agreeing to abide by the FS rules. It is no one's fault (other than your own) that you agreed to rules you have not read. It's your choice to not inform yourself about the rules you've agreed to, so don't throw a tantrum when they get enforced.

If you have a serious problem with the forum rules and policies and can't bring yourself to follow them, don't post here. If you have a serious problem with the FS rules, don't post in the FS section. It's as simple as that. These are not the newspaper classifieds, and for the ammount of space and FREE exposure we give to you, we simply require that you follow a few simple rules. Can you handle that?

I've been a member here for a while. I have ~600 posts with a lot of pics of my car. I'm not some sort of scammer....

What rattles my cage is that they just close the thread without warning me because I don't have "proof". I just find that unjust. Like I said before, the forum is good and all, but this rule among others just make it not worth your while at times.

Actually, they could delete the thread per the for sale rules. I think just closing the thread helps you get your pics on there sooner since you won't have to recreate the whole thread.

The rules are in place to keep it legit. Less scammers to be found on the boards. Also, you're not getting charged any fee to list/sell items, so that's a bonus right there.

(shrug) I dunno...not too difficult or demanding to the person listing the item for sale, protection for the buyer. Seems like a win-win situation.

Seems what you call a "fit" got it opened sooner...

dude...your thread is opened and with the correct pics, you've been informed of the f/s rules, you've posted your issue with said rules - you'd be well advised to drop the attitude - it does not serve you well at all.

yeah but he has to get the last word and reply to everyones comments. It makes him feel better.

temp ban his ass, his tude sucks, even if i was interested in the car, no matter the price i still wouldn't buy it just because of it

if you don't like the rules, there are plenty of other forums - some dedicated to just the protege - you can go to. seriously, the rules are no mystery to anyone who posts regularly on this forum and it doesn't matter if you have 600 or 6 posts. why does anyone think they are so special or so well exposed that the rules do not apply to them? frankly i'm amazed at the tolerance level of the admins or mods on this forum. on other forums, disregard of the rules and then being snide on top of it would earn you a nice little ban.

I actually know a couple sites that follow this rule. A lot of the dsm sites require this and so does the other mazda 3 forum requires this. I personally think its a great thing to do. I was actually banned from a dsm site because I didnt follow the rule they had there. And yeah thats all you have to do.. was get 1 or 2 pics with a peice of paper that takes 5 seconds to write down the info and slap it there. For someone that has 600 posts you would think that, the person would have stumbled across a marketplace thread or the for sale thread in his days here and saw everyone doing this.. Im just saying. But regardless of all this.. glad your for sale thing is back open and good luck with it.

the funniest part of this whole discussion is I close threads started by members who just joined to sell something, and they are apologetic and do what is asked of them by the rules w/ out hesitation...

yet we get "active" members that whine about this crap.... FAIL.
