Replacing the stock muffler tip

I think they are thinking of different types of muffler tips, not the ones that use bolts to hold onto the stock muffler. Our stock mufflers have an extra piece riveted onto them to make them appear bigger, and thats prob the only reason why the tip you have isnt going to fit on. If you *must* have the tip on there then you will either need to take the rivets off the stock "tip" (easily done by screwing through them and ripping them apart with plyers. Or you could just chop off part of that end piece, but I wouldnt feel comfortable doing that...

when you say a "rivet", are you referring to the three portions of the stock tip that are "pressed in" and welded to the pipe on the "inner" portion of the tip?

If so (or if not), what do you mean by "Screw through them"? Screw through where and what?

Yeah... mostly, what rivet are you talking about?

Thanks!
