replaced speakers now window won't work

so i just finished insatalling polk components in the doors (non bose system) and after putting the door panels back on, the auto up down feature doesn't work and i can't control the passenger window from the driver's controls. no fuses are blown and the passenger window controls work fine. i check the driver's side connections and all are fine. does the ecu need to be reset? am i missing something?

Did you unplug the motor somehow?

SOmething has to be loose at a connection somehwere.....OTherwise its a serious coincidence.

i unplugged the negative terminal off the battery to see if maybe it would reset the ecu. didn't work, and the awd "slippery" symbol stays on. i'll check the manual, thanks for the help.

go to the passenger side, roll down the window a bit, roll it back up and hold the switch until you hear it click.

its part of the "anti-pinch" it tells the motor where the top of the window is so it will roll all the way up if theres nothing in the way, but will stop if there is.

^^^^^Correct. You will need to do the same to the driver's side as well, so that you can use the auto up and down feature as well.

The traction control light comes on anytime that you disconnect the battery too. Just turn the wheel all the way to the right, then all the way to the left and then turn the car off. Once you restart, the light should be off...

good deal, everything worked. the slippery symbol went off the next time i started the car, and the window trick worked as well. now everything is back to normal, thanks for the help.

Gotta love automotive forums...

...'cause needed info always seems close at hand!

Just got my CX7 back from the body shop (some dumba$$ keyed the cr@p out of it 10 days ago), went to do the "hold the remote's unlock button down to open the windows and sunroof" trick, and the driver's window didn't lower.

Thinking they hadn't re-connected something (?, although they had to remove the handle/lock, they shouldn't have had to unplug wires), I tried the window via it's control. It would go up/down, but the auto feature was on the fritz.

That smell'd computer'ish, so I did a quick search here. And had my answer in 20 seconds or so. And yes, raising the window, and holding the control till it "clicked" reprogrammed the control as stated...now works fine.
