Rendered mazda3 more attractive than real life?

I am considering a mazda3 for my next car but I am having some trouble getting over the chevron car like grin. I was searching the internet to see if anyone makes a bumper that I would find less offensive and I found this picture of a pre-production rendering.

For some reason, to my eye this is a much more appealing design, much more refined. However, I tried to do a side by side comparison to the production car and the lines really aren't that different. The "smile" is about as large as it is on the actual car. Obviously, there is the silver bar running through it and the area around the fog lights matches the body color, but I think the thing that is most different is that the facia appears to be angled to where the bottom protrudes farther than the top. I think this accents the lines and the 'nagare' nature of the car much better than the more or less vertical facia of the production models.

So does anyone else have thoughts on why this looks like a much more refined car? Does anyone agree that it is more appealing than the stock bumper?

Yes and no. I do think this looks awesome. But only because it looks like an Acura TL. No I dont think I would like it on my MS3. I love my car the way it is. Just wish the grill would allow for better air flow on an FMIC. But I think we look great the way we are.
